The SAFEGUARD project was successfully presented at the RISE-SD 2024 conference, held in Chalkidiki, Greece, on October 16-17, 2024.
Representing SAFEGUARD’s coordinating team, the M4D group at CERTH-ITI, on October 16, Mr. Christos Theodosiadis gave an in-depth presentation on the project’s aims and objectives, its potential impact and the anticipated outcomes, highlighting at the same time the modern challenges in the protection of public spaces.
The presentation outlined the initial results of the project with a particular emphasis on the AI-based technological solutions of SAFEGUARD aiming to facilitate the operational capabilities of LEAs. A brief Q&A session followed, allowing the audience to further engage with the speaker and explore the project in greater detail.
The two-day RISE-SD conference attracted participants from various fields, with the SAFEGUARD project gaining considerable visibility and receiving positive feedback, thus opening up opportunities for networking and future partnerships.
