The SAFEGUARD consortium held its Kick-off Meeting on July 16 2024 in Thessaloniki, Greece, bringing together all project partners for their first in-person meeting and providing an important opportunity to establish collaboration across the consortium.
During the meeting, partners exchanged expertise and initiated discussions on how Law Enforcement Agencies from Greece and Bulgaria could leverage advanced and targeted technologies to support the correlation of potentially criminal and/or terrorist activities.
The meeting focused on defining the project’s initial user requirements and operational scenarios that will shape SAFEGUARD’s two main Use Cases. Partners also initiated discussions on operational planning, technological capabilities, potential limitations, and challenges that should be considered during the platform’s development and validation phases.
The meeting marked an important first step towards establishing a common operational vision and strengthening collaboration among the consortium members for the successful implementation of the project.
